for the 21st Annual Walk for the Homeless

On March 27, 2010 the 21st Annual Walk for the Homeless will start at 9am.  Our goal this year is to raise $75,000.00!  Having been involved with Housing Resources Inc. (HRI) for 21 years I have personally seen the spirit and determination this organization has in helping eiminate homelessness in our community.
 
All proceeds benefit services offered at HRI serving homeless families with children.  Located at 522 Eleanor in downtown Kalamazoo, the 24-bed Family Shelter is the only shelter in Kalamazoo County allowing families to remain together as a family unit during their stay. It offers a comfortable and caring temporary home, where families can regain their footing and seek solutions to their housing crisis.
 
The Walk is the largest single fundraiser for the HRI during the year and is vitally important to keep services available to homeless families in the Kalamazoo community.
